Prius MPV Gets Teased

Tuesday, October 12, 2021 4:59PM - By Chris Weiss

The Toyota Prius is in the process of starting a family, with small, large and plug-in versions on the way within the next two years. In celebrating 10 years of Prius in the U.S., Toyota provided the first peek at the Prius MPV,the larger version of the hybrid.

We can’t exactly see much of the Prius MPV in the billboard picture that Toyota posted on Facebook, but we can tell that it is slightly longer and higher than the standard Prius. It’s supposed to be 300 mm longer, to be exact, and have an extra bench in the back, making room for a total of seven adults. The roof is higher and straighter, which will give all passengers a little extra headroom.

Chrysler Unveils The 2011 200 (New Sebring)

Tuesday, October 12, 2021 4:50PM - By Chris Weiss

It’s gone from Sebring to Nassau to 200, and now it’s gone from teaser to fully detailed. Chrysler released all kinds of photos of its upcoming 200 sedan (the next-generation Sebring). It looks about how we expected: a classier Sebring that falls right in line underneath the 300 sedan. The excessive hood strakes of past Sebrings remain long gone (thank you!); the grille loses the vertical slats in place of a purely horizontal version and the headlights are narrower. It’s definitely a more sleek, modern look for Chrysler’s mid-size.

SSC Ultimate Aero II In the Flesh

Friday, September 10, 2021 3:35PM - By Chris Weiss

Bad things happen over holiday weekends. And I’m not just talking about getting messy and crashing face first in a vomit-filled bathtub. Though that sucks too. I’m talking about the fact that I took the long weekend and missed the big leak of the Shelby Supercars SSC Aero II. Not much information, but a couple of pictures leaked, originally on Jalopnik.

Next Generation Nissan GT-R Leaks Onto Web

Friday, August 27, 2021 4:11PM - By Chris Weiss

The next installment of Godzilla is coming soon, and the first pictures have leaked onto the Internet. The GT-R gets a new face with LED daytime running lamps and new front grille and bumper. Spinning it around, we also see a new rear diffuser.

As a result of the subtle revisions, the GT-R’s drag co-efficient is said to be cut from 0.272 to 0.268, and the rear diffuser is rumored to boost downforce by 10 percent. The GT-Rs captured above also show off two new paints: Aurora Flare Blue Pearl and Nebula Opal Black. The output of the GT-R’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 is expected to enjoy an increase from its 485 horsepower and 434 lb-ft specs.

Chrysler Releases Pictures of Redesigned Jeep Wrangler

Thursday, August 19, 2021 5:13PM - By Chris Weiss

Look quickly at the picture above and you might think you’re looking at a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. In fact, stare at it for a few minutes, and you’ll think the same. That’s because there’s not much new going on outside. The major exterior change is that Sahara models get a body-color hard top.

The focus of the redesigned Wrangler models, which hit production this week,  is on the other side of the doors, with brand-new interiors that feature upgraded materials; steering-wheel mounted controls for audio, Bluetooth and cruise control; new instrument panel and a new lockable console. The new Wrangler will also feature a USB port and a number of new colors: Detonator Yellow, Deep Cherry Red, Sahara Tan, Cosmos Blue and Bright White. See a few of those after the jump. First Look at the Zonda HH

Wednesday, August 4, 2021 10:00AM - By Chris Weiss

We saw the rumor just last week, and yesterday Pagani revealed the one-off Zonda HH. Commissioned for an American customer of unknown surname, the HH combines the lightweight and power of the Zonda Cinque with the profile of the Zonda Roadster F. It is rumored to weigh just 2,662 lbs. due to some serious pound-shedding space agery like a carbon-titanium tub, ceramic-titanium exhaust and carbon-ceramic brakes.

New Pictures of the Ferrari 458 Challenge

Tuesday, August 3, 2021 1:08PM - By Chris Weiss

Ferrari introduced the world to the 458 Challenge at its dealers meeting last month, but gave us but one picture of the track-speced steed to ogle. Yesterday, Maranello righted that wrong, providing a couple more pictures from track testing in Vallelunga. Two test drivers-Maurizio Mediani and Jaime Melo took the wheel and offered such positive sentiments as “very quick and extremely good fun.”

The 458 Challenge is a track-only model based on the 458 Italia. The car gets the same 570-hp engine as the Italia, but gets a variety of upgrades including altered gear ratios, F1-Trac traction control system, thinner body panels and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. See the new pictures in the gallery below. [via WCF]

Ferrari 458 Italia Up in Flames

Monday, July 19, 2021 1:53PM - By Chris Weiss

The old adage about a picture being worth a thousand words is never more true than in the case of high-end sports coupes on fire. Just try to explain the undeniable beauty of bright orange and yellow flames charring up a Ferrari 458 Italia on the streets of Paris and you’ll realize that your words will fall far short of this simple picture. We especially like how this shot captured what appears to be the driver debating whether or not to sacrifice his body and Sunday-best red #3 shirt for his 458. That decision was probably harder than it sounds. [via Jalopnik]
