The Nissan Murano convertible has been one of the debuts that we’re most looking forward to from the LA Auto Show later this week. Mostly because we want to see what in the hell Nissan was thinking with a drop-top crossover.

Well, it looks like they were thinking pretty clearly. Nissan revealed the first picture of its CrossCabriolet today, and the company has actually done a pretty good job of finding some middle ground between convertible and crossover. From the picture, we see that the Murano loses two doors in its convertible incarnation and gets a raked windshield and redesigned rear. It seats four and has a trunk out back. Nissan has said that the car will get a premium level interior.

Outside of the one picture, Nissan is saving the rest of the unveil for LA (Wednesday). We’ll have more soon enough. [via USA Today]
