Jeep SWERV Is More Prepared Than Bear Grylls Will Ever Be

Talk about the kitchen sink. I got a close-up look at this Jeep S.W.E.R.V. down in Moab this week, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a vehicle more ready to kick or save ass than this one.

Underneath all the graphics and hardware is a Jeep Liberty turned “Severe Weather Emergency Response Vehicle”. If this thing couldn’t survive a natural disaster, the rest of us are simply doomed. It features an array of equipment including but not limited to two Garmin 5012 chart plotters, a Garmin GDL 30A weather module, Garmin GMR 18 Radar on a custom scissor lift, Garmin Street Pilot 7200, 2 Garmin Rino 530 HCx radios, a Panasonic Toughbook, a Uniden BC350C Scanner, TV antenna, PT2 camera in custom enclosure and a Warn M8000 winch. A custom wrap provides the look that complements the function.

Personally, I’d be happy with just the rescue ax rigged to the roof and other rescue gear in back.
